OrthoCarolina Classic-10K/5K

The OrthoCarolina Classic presented by UnitedHealthcare, a running event held in Charlotte, NC on August 25, 2012 is the areas premier 10K running event. The OrthoCarolina Classic will also feature a challenging 5K run/walk. NEW this year is a 50 yrd KIDS DASH!!

The days events are designed to promote and encourage active families and healthy lifestyles. The course offers a beautiful yet challenging route passing the major medical facilities in Charlotte along with a great view of the Charlotte skyline–while raising awareness for the OrthoCarolina Research Institute.

OrthoCarolina Research Institute

The OrthoCarolina Research Institute (OCRI) was founded to promote and support scientific, orthopedic research and education and to foster collaborations between universities, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare device manufacturers and other academic and research organizations. OCRI is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

The Institute is an independent, autonomous, not-for-profit research organization whose mission is to promote and support scientific research and education as it relates to orthopedic care.
